Hello again, in fact when i start world terrain as an administrator, the error is gone. My world terrain is working but it's slow to download the tiles. For example a tile is fully downloaded when my plane is above it. Could it be possible to set world terrain to download the tiles when they are in front of me ?
Thank you very much, best regards

Hm, I found another issue. It was known (by me) before that above a certain speed WT just can't provide sharp textures fast enough (despite my 120 megabit internet connection and fast computer with SSD), but now as I did a faster cruise, WT just gave up after a while and even though all lights on its control panel were green, the textures below me remained super blurry and it did not refresh them. Could not even press refresh, seemingly it just hang, so I had to kill it from task manager. But after I started it again mid-flight, it never started up, even though it said "generating terrain, please..." and the sim light was green. My experience is that it basically can hang any time (it was not the first time doing this), and when it does it's not possible to restart it. Obviously restarting the sim is not an option while doing a flight. Is it possible to do something about this? In its present state WT is not really suitable for fast flights... I would mind less if it hangs, but at least it should be easier to restart it, so it just continues loading textures where it left off.

It would be nice if there was an option in WT for giving it a flight plan, so it could load the textures ahead along the planned route.

good evening all! i like very much World Terraing and i hope one day it will be also perfect! i'm actually using Tileproxy with p3d v.4.4 cause for now i notice big difference for the terrain, WT is more blurry and it seems to not have the same resolution when is totally loaded, i attach 2 pics of TP and WT. i'm using Google service for TP and LOD 17 i also changed something in prepar3d.cfg (fsx.cfg, when i use tp i needed to rename prepar3d.exe in fsx.exe), blurries on my p3d and TP are totally disappeared! and i extracted from ORBX, UTX, smart sim lights europe, the night lights (light balls), big streets illuminated on the ground working with TP. another big issue from WT is the night...during the night it looks like this: i really hopes in the work of World Terrain cause it's simple amazing... and the autogen on it is fantastic! continue with the work , i love it!!

I also noticed the blurriness problem in WT, but I think it's because they use a different satellite image provider. If I'm correct, Google images are not legal to use, so TP is also kinda in the dark zone Night textures are simply not in WT, as there are no night satellite images available for Earth in good enough quality. They should fix it maybe by modifying the day textures on the fly, darken them for example. It's a feature I really would like to see. Along with seasonal textures (eg. white landscape in winter)

Hello David
Have you tested P3D V.4 with W.T V 4.01. You have a good rendering with Tileproxy, look at the screens I posted with W.T. 4.01 ... Have a nice day and welcome among us

I have asked Macker if it was possible to design an option that will let you decide the MAX LOD level according the altitude and even go to LOD 19. This could be interesting as some of us have got fast computers and fast Internet connection (i have 600MB for example).

This could be interesting as some of us have got fast computers and fast Internet connection (i have 600MB for example). Hi again. Now finally I had time to test the new version. But I am not completely happy. To be honest this version works much worse for me than the previous ones, providing very blurry textures, that remain like that, even though the texture level is set to max. I attached two screenshots. You can see that it does not even try to stream new tiles, the stream-o-meter is at zero, everything is green and I have super blurry, low quality textures. After restarting WT completely (second pic), new, sharp textures appeared, but only under me with a very small radius! Beyond that it's blurry, and even further away it's ugly. Should I erase the whole WT scenery folder and cache and reinstall it? When I installed the new version I did not delete these, because just to delete the old scenery folder takes ages because of the gazillion files in it.

Hello, This is corrected in the new release V4.02 Give it a try! Thanks, I tried, it got indeed better in that regard. Now on to another thing to fix I think you are already aware of this problem about the shorelines and water textures. I attached a screenshot how an open water area looks like. I know that from tiles only containing water there are no high-res satellite images, but would be nice to get rid of these ugly sharp edges seen on water. Maybe a way to "cut out" the land part of the images and set the water parts as watermask in the sim, so those areas would actually be simulated water tiles.

OK, disregard my previous post, it seems that I did not even have the latest version. After installing the 4.02 final version, I see the difference. It's much better now. Thanks!
