Hi!
When I first used WT on p3dv3, it worked in such way that if I ran the client, the WT textuers were seen, but when the client was not running, the ORBX textures were seen at lower priority. Now on p3d v4 it doesn't work. When the client runs, WT textures are there correctly, but when I don't run it, it still wants to show WT, but instead I see blurriness. So no ORBX (or the default) textures are shown. Also, at night, since WT doesn't yet have night textures, a garbled puzzle of night and daytime textures are shown.
But since I had trouble to get WT installed on v4, I added all the scenery layers manually, so maybe this is the problem. Could you tell me, exactly at which priority the layers should be? Above everything or below? And what about the inactive Priority layer? What function does it have and where should it be in scenery.cfg? When I want to move it to the first position, I get the WT initializing error and it closes (same error message I have shown in the other thread). It can only run when at least one other layer is on top of the WT layers. Don't know why is it so. Thanks for the help.

Hello,
World Terrain uses the scenery.cfg file to manage the priorities of layers of scenery.
To accomplish that the installer just inserts a dummy entry to the file.
Only when World Terrain is running this entry is expanded to incorporate World Terrain specific entries.
Thus we have a mechanism where :
if World Terrain is not running World Terrain has no influence on the sceneries if World Terrain is running adequate entries will be included but at the priority listed by the dummy entry
So the best way to manage priorities is to let the installer write the dummy entry and use FSX/Prepard3D Scenery Library menu to lower or higher priorities. I hope this will help you, Regards

Ahaa, now I understand how it works. So basically one should not even have these layers added to scenery.cfg, only that dummy priority layer. Now I tried and it works as it should! Thanks!
